At the beginning of the year, we welcomed a brand new team member to our staff at the Centers for Gastroenterology in Greeley. Michael Giacopelli, PA-C made the move to Colorado from Indiana and is our newest physician assistant.

He completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Butler University in Indianapolis. After completing PA school, he worked with a private practice GI group and gained experience with irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, viral hepatitis, gastroparesis, chronic pancreatitis, hemorrhoids, and many other GI related illnesses.

When Michael isn’t caring for patients, he is excited to begin settling into the Greeley lifestyle. He loves to cook, hike, camp, and explore new cities – meaning he should fit in well with Colorado living. If you really want to get to know our new PA, however, ask him about basketball! He is a big fan, especially when it comes to Butler basketball.

“I look forward to providing further access at the Greeley location (as another extender) and getting to know the northern Colorado and Greeley community as I can now call this home,” he says.
